Surah Maun
Surat Maun is one of the surahs of the Holy Qur’an that was revealed in Mecca.
It is the one hundred and seventh surah in terms of its arrangement in the Holy Qur’an, and its verses are seven verses.
It is found in the last part of the Holy Quran, i.e. the thirtieth part.

They do not hope for any good from it, nor do they fear punishment if they delay it or do not pray it.
These are the group of hypocrites who delay their prayers and are negligent in performing them.
Those who pray in public, but in secret, abandon it.
They also prevent zakat, as Surah Maun contained a holiday for these people.

Benefits of Surah Maun

- It directs a person to do good deeds, and if a person does not do good things, this is evidence that faith has not settled in the heart. It is evidence that man must draw closer to God Almighty.
- Surah Al Ma’un directs a person to sincerity in his work. So that God Almighty rewards him and in order for him to obtain reward, and warns him of many things for which he will receive severe punishment.

Surah Maun was given this name due to the word Al Maun appearing at the end of it, which condemns stinginess and refers to the benefits that people provide to each other. Among the names of this Surah are:
- Surah Have You Seen: This is because the surah begins with this word.
- Surat Al-Yateem: This is because it talks about the orphan and showing compassion towards him. And treating him well and not harming him or rebuking him, and because of the orphan whom Abu Sufyan treated badly.
- Surah Al-Din: Because the Surah speaks about the unjust polytheists and those who do not believe in the Last Day and in reckoning and punishment.
- Surat Al-Takdid: This is because the surah mentioned the characteristics of the polytheists who deny the existence of the Last Day. It must be mentioned that the basic name of the surah is Surah Maun. As for the remaining names, they are names invented by scientists and applied to the image. The reason for this is the meanings contained in Surat Al-Ma’un.
Story Surah Al Maun
This noble Surah begins with the words of God Almighty (Have you seen the one who denies religion? That is the one who leaves behind the orphan).
The beginning of this surah was in the manner of rebuke.
The basic story of the picture is that Abu Sufyan was slaughtering two camels every week.
Suddenly he came to him asking him to give him a little meat.
Abu Sufyan beat him with a stick instead of giving him meat.
It is also widely reported that Surah Al Maun was revealed about Al- Asi Al-Sahmi, who was known for committing sins. And bad deeds and that he did not believe in the Last Day and denied the reality of the reckoning.
