Surah Kausar | Inna Ataina Kal Kausar Surah

It is known as the shortest surah in the Al-Quran and contains only three verses. Surah Kausar was revealed in Makkah. The meaning of Al-Kausar itself is a river that flows in heaven. It is said that this river is made of beautiful and beautiful gemstones. The water tastes sweet like honey. If seen clearly the color is whiter than milk and more fragrant than musk.

This can be traced back to the events of Israk and Mikraj, the Prophet SAW said, “When I was walking around Heaven, I was shown a river on both sides of which there was a dome made of diamonds.

“Then an angel who was with the Messenger of Allah said, “Do you know, O Muhammad SAW, what you are witnessing? This is Al-Kautsar that Allah SWT has prepared for you.” (Tafsir At-Tabari).

Not only that, but when the Prophet Muhammad SAW was given a severe test with the death of two loved ones, his second son who was only one year old and his uncle, Abu Talib, this surah was revealed as a comforter to his heart.

Advantages of Surah Kausar

Here are 10 benefits of Surah Kausar:-

1. Get ten rewards for each letter

Everyone who reads the Quran will be rewarded by Allah SWT. Whether we are fluent in pronouncing it or still stuttering is not something that is evaluated. On the contrary, anyone who reads the Qur’an will get ten rewards for each letter read.

From Ibn Mas’ud ra, he said: “Whoever reads one letter from the Qur’an, for him one good, one good is equal to ten rewards, I do not mean: Alif, Lam, Mim is one letter, but Alif is one letter, Lam is one letter and Mim is one letter.” (This hadith of Ibn Mas’ud was recorded by Ad-Darimi Tirmii in Sunan Tirmize, Kitab Abwab Fadhail Al-Quran, No hdith 2910, the status of this hadith is hasan sahih)

2. Avoid enemies

In Ustaz Abdullah Khairi’s talk, the advantages of this Surah Kausar were inserted, which is to help avoid the enemy. Many people today enjoy doing things that are forbidden by religion out of envy, jealousy, or envy.

As humans we have limitations to do all things. It is right for us to ask for help and protection from Allah SWT to avoid bad things.

According to this surah kausar, if the house is believed to be affected by witchcraft, try to practice it. With Allah’s permission, it will be inspired to us about where the magic is.

3. As an opener of sustenance and knowledge

Surah Kausar is also associated with being the opener of sustenance and knowledge. In fact, if it is clearly detailed, this surah, which was revealed when the Prophet SAW was sad, illustrates how great the patience and sincerity of his majesty was.

The Prophet of Allah was in a very sad state but he was still grateful for the blessing of the test given. Remembering all Allah’s blessings when we lose his other blessings. Tests are given not as a sign that Allah wants to punish but to raise a person’s rank. When he accepts it with an open heart, the blessings that will come will surely be doubled.

The word of Allah SWT,

And (also remember), when your Lord informs; “Indeed, if you are grateful, We will certainly increase (favors) to you, and if you deny (My favors), then indeed My punishment will be very painful. And Musa said: “If you and all the people on the face of the earth deny (Allah’s favors), then indeed Allah is Rich and Praiseworthy.” (Surah Ibrahim: verses 7-8)

4. Train gratitude in yourself

Gratitude is an important element that is conveyed in Surah Kausar.

The words of Allah SWT, Verily We have bestowed upon you (O Muhammad SAW) much goodness (in this world and in the hereafter). Therefore, pray for your Lord alone, and sacrifice (as a thank you). Therefore, pray for your Lord alone, and sacrifice (as a thank you). (Surah Kausar: verses 1-3)

This special surah tells how Allah SWT taught the Prophet when he faced a disaster.

It was revealed to the Prophet when there were very few Muslims in Mecca. Then, the son who was only one year old died. Abu Jahl, Abu Lahab, and their friends came and insulted the Prophet SAW by using the death of the Prophet’s son as capital to ridicule and weaken his spirit.

His sadness increased when his uncle came to the house and said “batara Muhammad” which means Nouzbillah “Muhammad SAW” has lost his name” or in other words there is no heir. For the Arabs at that time, the son was the one who carried the father’s name and lineage. But what Allah SWT said in Surah Kausar greatly pleased his heart. With only one trait to be grateful.

5. Softens the heart

In the Qur’an, Allah describes the knowledgeable and faithful as people who are easily touched when the Qur’an is read to them. And Allah also describes that the Qur’an has the miracle of increasing the privacy of the human soul.

The words of Allah SWT: “And they immediately prostrated themselves crying, while the Al-Quran increased their humility.” (Surah al-Isra: verse 109)

Sayyid Qutb in his work narrates the story of how al-Walid ibn Mughirah, a famous Quraysh noble gave his reaction to the Al-Quran. One day al-Walid was asked by Abu Jahl to give his views on the content of the Quran. After listening to the Quran, Al-Walid said:

“By Allah, verily (I) al-Walid was mesmerized (listening to this al-Quran), and surely the Quraysh will be mesmerized to hear it.”

6. Gives harmony in the household

Harmony in the household is based on religion. If religion is cared for and educated to all family members, then a human race and offspring will be born who also practice all the commands of Allah SWT and abandon His prohibitions. So teach our children and wives with the Al-Quran so that the household institution that is built becomes sakinah, mawaddah, and provides long-lasting harmony.

7. As an effort to cure disease

The greatness of Al-Quran as the book of Allah is a cure and a blessing to mankind, especially to those who read and practice it.

The word of Allah SWT which means: “And We sent down from the Qur’an something that is a cure and a mercy for those who believe and the Qur’an does not add to the wrongdoers other than loss.” (Surah Al-Isra’: verse 82)

The meaning here is that the surahs in the Quran have cures for diseases. There are many Prophets who mention the advantages of certain verses or surahs that if read, practiced, or blown as a “spell” to those who suffer from certain diseases will be cured with the permission of Allah SWT.

Surah Kausar is often associated with giving benefits in eye diseases, such as watery, itchy, swollen, and thirsty.

8. The heart is more peaceful

The word of Allah SWT which means, “(that is) those who believe and their hearts become peaceful by remembering Allah. Remember, only by remembering Allah does the heart become peaceful.” (Surah Ar-Ra’ad, verse 28)

Anyone who is given guidance and faith will easily interact with Kalamullah. His heart will be easily touched by what he reads, understands, and practices. Said Sheikh Al-Tantawi:

“Truly the crying of a person because of the fear of Allah is a sign of the truth of faith and the purity of the soul.” (Tafsir Al-Wasit)

9. As an indication of the truth

Allah is the great book that was revealed to the people of Prophet Muhammad SAW. It is the most complete manual that educates people to get the best path and be pleased with Allah SWT in the life of this world and the hereafter.

The word of Allah SWT which means, “(This is) the Book that We sent down to you Muhammad SAW so that you can bring people out of darkness into bright light with Allah’s permission.” (Surah Ibrahim, verse 1)

Questions such as muamalat, life, belief, fundamental principles, philosophy, history, science, metaphysics, and so on will be answered if we read, study, deepen, and practice them. This is the message of the Prophet SAW about Islam as a way of life that will guarantee happiness in this world and the hereafter.

10. Receive the intercession of the Quran

Intercession is help or defense that is very necessary when in Padang Mahsyar later. This is because, at that time there was no one who could help us in the world. Everyone is busy with their own practice and destiny.

The word of Allah SWT which means, “And when the Qur’an is recited, then listen to it and be silent (with full attention to listen to it), so that you may receive mercy. ” (Surat Al-A’raaf: verse 204)

Closing

Reading, understanding, appreciating, and practicing the verses of the Quran is a practice that is highly encouraged in life. Because this pen is the main reference of Muslims after the hadith of the Prophet SAW. If man does not return to him, then he will be lost in searching for the path of truth in the world. It is hoped that this article on the advantages of Surah Kausar can provide benefits to the readers.
