The Benefits of Surah Al Buruj

On the authority of Abu Abdullah, peace be upon him, he said: “Whoever recites Surah Buruj in an obligatory prayer, then it is Surah of the Prophets, his gathering and standing will be with the prophets, messengers, and the righteous.”

As it was reported from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, his saying: “Whoever recites this Surah, Allah will give him a reward equivalent to the number of ten good deeds for everyone who gathered on Friday and for everyone who gathered on the Day of Arafat, and reciting it saves one from fears and adversity. And he, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, said: “Whoever reads it will have a great reward and be safe from fears and adversity.”

It was reported on the authority of Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, used to recite the Surah Buruj during the evening meal.

The Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, also often ordered the recitation of the two surahs, namely, Al-Sama’a, Al-Tariq, and Al-Samaa with the Zodiac in the evening prayer.

It was also reported on the authority of Jabir bin Samra that he saw the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, reading from this surah at noon and afternoon many times. Jaber was also reported as saying, quoting the Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that he said to Muadh. “Recite with them the evening prayer, praising the name of your Most High Lord, and the night when it covers, and the sky full of constellations.”

As it was reported on the authority of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: “Whenever he mentioned the people of the trenches, he would seek refuge from the hardship of calamity.” All these hadiths explain the benefits of Surah Buruj.

Or when he wants to leave his house, she will be a guard for him, his family, and his money as well.

Reciting from the beginning of the surah to the Almighty’s saying: “The people of the furrows have been killed” [Al-Buruj 4] suffices one from the evil of wasps.

Reciting Surah Al Buruj over water and drinking it will protect him, Allah willing, from any harm that may befall him. This is where Al-Misbah’s words end.

One of the virtues of Surah Al-Buruj is that it descends on the jinn and devils like fire that devours them, so whoever wants to protect himself from them must constantly recite it.
