If he dies, a generous angel descends upon him and sits at his head, and Allah says to him: O Angel of Death, be kind to Allah’s guardian.
- He would often remind me and recite this Surah often, and the Angel of Death would say: My Lord has commanded me to listen to Him and obey Him and not to expel His spirit until He commands me to do so. If he commands me, I will take out his soul and he will see his place in Paradise. Then his soul will be carried to Paradise, and 70 thousand angels will rush with it to Paradise.”

- It is said, and Allah knows best, that reading Surah Zilzal before sleep reveals many things to the servant. If the servant has a need or wants to know what will happen, he must recite Surat Al Zalzalah 7 times before going to sleep. The Muslim must be in ablution, and say this supplication: “O angels of my Lord, by the right of Surah Al-Zalzalah, by the right of the one who sent it down, by the right of whom it was revealed to, and by the right of the names of Allah upon you and His perfect verses, except what you told me on this night of mine (and mention the matter that you want to know). If you don’t see anything in the dream, try again the next night.
- To obtain the benefits of Surah Zilzal, the reciter of the surah must take care to be in ablution while sleeping. The servant should sleep facing the direction of prayer. It is also said that it is best to recite Surat Al-Zalzalah on Thursday and Monday.
- Reciting Surah Zilzal in the Fajr prayer helps protect the servant from any scourge or lightning bolt in this world. And if the servant dies, Allah will grant him Paradise, Allah willing.
- The virtue of reciting Surah Zalzalah is great, and some say that whoever recites Surah Al Zalzalah twice a day before sleeping is equivalent to reading the entire Quran. Others believe that whoever recites Surah Zilzal is equivalent to one-sixth of the Quran. Some have disagreed about the virtue of reciting Surat Al-Zalzalah. We find that some jurists say that it is equivalent to a quarter or half of the Qur’an. But in all cases, of course, the virtue of Surah Zilzal is great in the eyes of Allah Almighty and all the verses of the Holy Qur’an.
